Platform Engineer (f/m/div)

Infineon Technologies is the strongest semiconductor company in Romania with a R&D center in Bucharest for 20 years and growing R&D sites in Iași and Brașov. Job Description
We are looking for a Platform Engineer with strong expertise in Jira Data Center administration and Java based plugin development. This role combines platform engineering, system administration and software development to deliver scalable, high performance solutions within enterprise environments.

In your new role you will:

• Develop and maintain platform tooling supporting Jira Data Center environments
• Build and improve CI/CD pipelines for reliable delivery and upgrade
• Perform system upgrades, patching and migration across multiple environments
• Monitor and optimize application performance, including JVM tuning and resource utilizations
• Extend Jira functionality via REST APIs, event listeners, custom workflows and UI components
• Manage configurations including workflows, schemes, permissions and screens
• Guide and mentor developers while collaborating with cross functional teams

Your Profile
You are best equipped for this task if you have:

• Bachelor\’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• +5 years of practical experience in developing and extending Atlassian systems or similar
• Experience working with Linux operating systems
• Knowledge and practical experience in scripting (e.g. Shell) as well as SQL knowledge
• Knowledge of relevant tools and languages (e.g. Groovy, or similar)
• Design, develop and maintain custom Jira plugins using Java and Atlassian SDK
• Interest in performance and load tests is a plus (e.g. Apache JMeter)
• Fluent English (both written and spoken)
