Principal Engineer – System Architect

Your Role

Key responsibilities in your new role

• Create system architecture description according to key IOT applications requirements, such as smart home, smart glasses, consumer electronics, etc.
• Define system concepts based on value drivers for IFX solution offerings including but not limited to computing, connecting and sensing.
• Lead the conceptualization, design and validation of Infineon hardware, software and Edge AI tailored for IOT market.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including application marketing, product line, SAE and sales to create system solution and reference design for selected IOT market.
• Carry out research and study systems being sold on the market to understand topology, content, and key technical issues.
• Identify novel IOT concepts/products appear on market and evaluate how to address it with Infineon solution
• Support Application Marketing to execute marketing strategies
• Conduct technical trainings on system level with internal and external stakeholders
• Develop technical value propositions and collaterals on application level to support solution launches, trade show appearances, etc.
• Meeting and discussing with customer for system/architecture concept evaluation and verification, technical customer support on application level where needed

Your Profile

Qualifications and skills to help you succeed

• Bachelor’s degree in electronic engineering or equivalent practical experience
• 10+ years of experience in microcontroller and wireless, such as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
• A deep understanding of the IoT, Edge AI, and wireless connectivity industries, including the latest trends, technologies, and applications
• Proven experience in developing IOT system including concept, block diagrams, simulation, schematic, PCB layout and board level debugging, test and validation.
• The ability to think creatively and identify solution offerings to complex requirements, with a focus on driving business success through system approach
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate the value proposition of IoT, Edge AI, and wireless connectivity solutions to customers, partners, and other stakeholders
• Experience and knowledge on Edge AI, especially in vision, audio and sensing, is a strong plus
• Experience and knowledge on MPU (e.g. Cortex-A) and Linux/Android is a plus
• Experience and knowledge on sensors is a plus
• Good marketing sense is a plus
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
• Professional proficiency in English; able to lead customer calls and write proposals
