Your Role
As a Regional Buyer – FPM Materials, you will play a key role in ensuring the cost-effective supply of products and services. You will be responsible for executing procurement strategies, managing suppliers, and optimizing internal processes. In this critical position, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive business results.
Key responsibilities in your new role
- Support Category Manager to set up a strategy for an accounted commodity
- Prepare local strategy for commodities within own responsibility area
- Execution of procurement strategies to ensure the long-term, cost-effective supply of products/services
- Support introduction alternative procurement sources to minimize stock times, inventory levels and costs
- Contacts with interface partners to recognize developments (in market, demand, etc.) and exert influence accordingly
- Reporting of results monthly/quarterly to control the measurable activities against the planned figures
- Monitoring of the local market to bring new suppliers, product derivatives and product innovations into the procurement portfolio
- Monitoring of contractual agreements to prepare renegotiations/subsequent negotiations, initiate appropriate measures and guarantee supplies
- Supplier Management to gain the best suppliers and guarantee an optimum supply chain (incl. minimizing of procurement risks)
- Interdisciplinary working group/project work to inform oneself, exert influence accordingly and optimize internal processes and procedures
Your Profile
To succeed in this role, you should demonstrate a strong ability to collaborate with others, with a focus on delivering results and driving excellence. You should be a flexible and adaptable individual, able to navigate complex situations and prioritize multiple tasks. You should also be an effective communicator, able to build strong relationships with stakeholders and negotiate successfully.
Qualifications and skills to help you succeed
- Commercial / Economics College or University Degree,
- 5 year experience in procurement
- Middle-level knowledge of German and / or English
- Fluent in Hungarian
