Senior Analyst Cyber Security

Your Role

Key responsibilities in your new role

• Perform identification, qualification, and management of cybersecurity incidents.
• Analyzing logs (Windows, Firewall, VPN, email etc) to determine the root cause, scope, and impact of an alert.
• Taking action to contain threats, such as isolating infected systems, resetting compromised credentials, or blocking malicious IP addresses.
• Escalate incidents as necessary to next tier/level or management teams.
• Follow established internal processes and keep accurate and meaningful records of all work carried out for the incident.
• Support the development of new detection use cases and rules following international standards.
• Provide system triage support (basic forensics) to acquire and analyze system and network artefacts during security incident response.
• Support SME in product evaluations and joint projects with the IT department for applications and platforms of own area.
• Involve and support SME in the global scale project.
• Work closely and support SME within functional areas to support overall department goals.
• Stay up to date with the latest changes in cyber threats as well as security best practices.

Your Profile

Qualifications and skills to help you succeed

• Studies with more than 4 years of regular study duration, e.g. Computer science, business informatics, cyber security, digital forensics or similar.
• Relevant certification for cyber and information security are an advantage, for example: \’GIAC Certified Intrusion Analyst (GCIA), GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH), Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional (GICSP), GIAC, SANS Security Awareness Professional (SSAP), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or other relevant certifications.
• Experience with EDR, SIEM or other cyber security tools
• Familiarity with IDS/IPS, sandboxing, and network traffic analysis.
• Understanding of incident response processes and methodologies.
