Senior documentation specialist / Technical writer

Hiring for Senior documentation specialist for Ahmedabad location. Candidate must have strong hands on exposure in Component Content Management System(CCMS), DITA XML and concept of modular documentation, version control systems such as Git etc.

Your Role

Key responsibilities in your new role

• Responsible for documentation deliverables that meet the required documentation standards and processes
• Pro-actively drive the workflow from information creation to external release at given milestones, working closely with SMES
• Convert and standardize documentation to the meet the company and business unit policies and best practice
• Create graphics to the required standards and ensure the quality and consistency of our documentation
• Contribute solutions and ideas to improving the efficiency and accuracy of our documentation deliveries
• Support and train engineers as necessary to work with the company CCMS and contribute to the documentation flows
• Actively participate in knowledge sharing and development of best practices with other team members

Your Profile

Qualifications and skills to help you succeed

• Must have degree in a related field such as computer science, technical communication, or electrical engineering
• Should have strong hold on English language verbal & written both. Expertise in German language will be added advantage.
• Strong technical skills with the ability to learn quickly with methodical approach and keen eye for details
• 5 + years of Hands on experience and practical knowledge of DITA XML is must.
• A demonstrable understanding and knowledge of the concept of modular documentation
• Practical experience of a Component Content Management System(CCMS)is must.
• Must have strong exposure of a version control systems such as Git
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams across multiple sites
• Flexibility to quickly respond to higher priority concerns and willingness to continuously learn
• Exposure in XSLT,JIRA, good programming skills particularly python and knowledge of Jenkins will be added advantage.
