Senior Engineer Storage Services (f/m/d)

Join our newly established IT Department at Infineon Technologies' Budapest office, a key hub for our global competence center in IT infrastructure, integration, and security. As a Systems Engineer - Storage Services, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and operating global storage services.
Your Role
You will be involved in the design, implementation, and operation of global storage services with a main focus on CEPH and NetApp storage administration. You can bring in your skills in activities across storage services in a global team.
Key responsibilities in your new role

• Be involved and support the conception and architectural design of CEPH and NetApp solutions
• Be responsible for continuous improvement of system landscapes with CEPH and NetApp with a focus on global scaling
• Compile documentations for operations and solutions
• Participate in global on-call shifts
• Develop and implement new storage solutions and services to meet the evolving needs of the business
• Collaborate with other teams to design and implement new system architectures and solutions
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior team members

Your Profile
You are a team player with excellent communication skills and a strong ability to work effectively in a team environment. You are open to new things, reliable, and an independent team player with the ability to communicate effectively with global teams. You are proactive, flexible, and able to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
Qualifications and skills to help you succeed

• A degree (Bachelor or Master) in Computer Science or in a related field
• 3-5 years of professional experience
• Experience in standard Linux OS (Ubuntu preferred) and Open Source in general
• Very good knowledge of CEPH cluster operation in an Enterprise IT environment
• Experience in cloud and container technologies (e.g. Docker, Podman, Kubernetes)
• Programming experience (C/C++, Go, Python etc.)
• Excellent English language skills and Hungarian
