Key responsibilities in your new role
Join our IoT and Edge AI Solutions team as a Senior Staff System Applications Engineer, leading the development of system-level solutions, proof-of-concepts, and reference designs that highlight Infineon’s Edge AI and IoT capabilities. Be part of the C3 Segment, creating innovative embedded solutions for real-world applications.
- Translate product and marketing requirements into clear technical specifications and system architectures.
- Lead the hardware architecture, design, and development of system-level projects for Edge AI and IoT applications.
- Develop hardware schematics, PCB layouts, and associated design documentation.
- Provide technical leadership by mentoring junior engineers and conducting design reviews to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Collaborate with project managers to define project scope, schedules, milestones, and engineering execution plans.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, ecosystem partners, and vendors to deliver innovative hardware-based solutions.
- Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including design guides, reference materials, and application notes.
- Support go-to-market activities by delivering technical training, showcasing solutions at customer engagements and industry events, and providing technical support to strategic customers.
- Drive system validation, troubleshooting, and optimization to ensure robust and scalable solutions.
- Contribute to the development of proof-of-concepts, reference designs, and evaluation platforms that highlight Infineon's technology leadership in Edge AI and IoT.
Your Profile
Qualifications and skills to help you succeed
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, or a related discipline; advanced degree preferred.
- 5–10 years of experience in hardware design and development for embedded or electronic systems.
- Strong proficiency with PCB design and development tools such as Cadence Allegro, Altium Designer, or equivalent platforms.
- Hands-on experience in hardware design, validation, and debugging, including schematic reviews, PCB bring-up, and the use of test equipment such as oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional environments and deliver results through strong teamwork and stakeholder engagement.
