Your Role

Key responsibilities in your new role

As a technical lead you will drive the embedded SW development in structured R&D projects and in SW ecosystems for prototyping. You will guide innovation projects, collaborate on concept definition, drive embedded SW development and establish an external network.

• Guide and drive embedded software development projects as technical lead with a strong focus on quality, time-to-market and technology trend
• Collaborate closely with Business Lines and adjacent domains like system and application engineering
• Design and develop embedded software in the field of embedded systems, prototyping software ecosystems and robotic systems
• Proactively contribute to the strategy for technology trends in the areas of embedded software and prototyping ecosystems
• Effectively capture, analyze and understand requirements and break down into structured work packages
• Alignment with internal and external stakeholders, e.g. Universities, Business Lines
• Support and facilitate internal mentorship and coaching of embedded software (junior) experts (exchange, peer review, sparring partner)

Your Profile

Qualifications and skills to help you succeed

You work conscientiously on making things better, faster, and more efficient and you are able to quickly establish a successful collaboration. You are a team player, self-learner with good communication and interpersonal skills.

• A degree in Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science or a comparable discipline, PhD would be a plus
• At least 8 years of professional experience in embedded software design and development preferred in semiconductor industry and in the field of robotics, with strong proficiency in C, C++ and Python
• Professional experience in ROS 2 and micro-ROS, as well as in micro-ROS enablement and in simulation tools (Isaac Sim, MuJoCo)
• Professional experience with embedded system development flow and tools, (Git, build system, GitLab, etc.), as well as with RTOS (Zephyr, FreeRTOS)
• A very good knowledge of MCU architecture/operation (interrupts, IPC etc.) and communication peripherals (Ethernet, CAN, UART, SPI etc.), as well as with ARM Cortex, TriCore and/or RISC-V architecture
• A very good knowledge of kinematics, sensor fusion, and control systems in the field of robotics
• Fluency in English is mandatory
