Senior Staff Engineer Product Engineering

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our Cost Down Change Management initiatives, driving operational excellence, and delivering high-quality releases while reducing systemic quality issues. The successful candidate will spearhead comprehensive cost reduction efforts, optimize processes, and implement systemic fixes to improve efficiency, quality, and throughput. This role will play a critical part in driving business growth, securing new business wins, and expanding our Total Addressable Market (TAM).

Your Role

Key responsibilities in your new role

• Cost Reduction and Efficiency Improvement:
  • Develop and execute comprehensive cost reduction strategies to achieve significant COBM% improvements (5-30% reduction in under a year)
  • Identify areas for optimization, refine test protocols, and optimize package BOM to eliminate capacity bottlenecks and increase throughput
• Operational Infrastructure Improvement:
  • Direct infrastructure improvements to boost efficiency, deliver high-quality releases, and reduce systemic quality issues
  • Implement systemic fixes in test and manufacturing to ensure process excellence
• Fab, Assembly, and Test Offloads:
  • Lead multiple offloads, including the successful bring-up of new process flows and establish clear quality deliverables for process sameness
• Entitlement Cost Analysis and Competitive Solutions:
  • Deliver entitlement cost analysis and competitive solutions to meet aggressive pricing needs, directly contributing to securing new business wins and expanding the Total Addressable Market (TAM)
• Customer Returns Management:
  • Implement a comprehensive framework for managing customer returns, improving team efficiency, and reinforcing a culture of continuous improvement across operations
• Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, engineering, and quality to drive systemic fixes, optimize processes, and implement cost reduction initiatives
• Data-Driven Decision Making:
  • Analyze data to identify areas for improvement, measure the effectiveness of cost reduction initiatives, and inform strategic decisions

Your Profile

Qualifications and skills to help you succeed

• Bachelor\’s degree in relevant field (Electrical Engineering, Operations)
• 8+ years of experience in operations management, cost reduction, and process improvement
• Proven track record of delivering significant cost reductions (5-30%COBM% improvement) and efficiency improvements
• Strong understanding of operational infrastructure, test and manufacturing processes, and quality management systems
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels
• Experience with data analysis, entitlement cost analysis, and competitive solutions development
• Experience with customer returns management and quality management systems is preferred
