Specialist, Technical Translator

Your Role

Key responsibilities in your new role

• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand technical information and product specifications, being able to translate independently
• Translate technical documentation from English to Chinese, ensuring that the translated documentation accurately conveys the original content and meaning.
• Drive translation output based on established translation process, collaborate closely with other team members to ensure translation tasks assigned are delivered on time.
• Leverage translation machine, manage translation memory and terminology, and maintain consistency in terminology and style across all translated documents.
• Conduct translation performance analysis and review to optimize the process & tool performance.
• Proactively explore and evaluate emerging translation technologies and other automation tools to enhance translation quality and efficiency.
• Review and maintain existing documentation as needed.

Your Profile

Qualifications and skills to help you succeed

• Master\’s degree in Technical Translating, English, Electronics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in technical translating is preferred, graduated student with high translating skill is also welcome.
• Quick learner to master skill to deliver technical translation independently
• Familiar with translation tools (e.g., SDL Trados, MemoQ, Smartling) and terminology management systems.
• Experienced with translation and localization of technical documentation is a plus
• Fluent in English and native-level Chinese, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Personal characteristics: Good learner, self-motivated, proactive, accountable, energetic, creative skills, problem solver, team player.
• Experience with NLP, AI-driven translation, or other automation tools is an advantage.
