Staff Applications Engineer

Join our team as a Staff Applications Engineer and play a key role in developing hardware systems, evaluation boards, and demonstrators for next-generation automotive MCU solutions. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of hardware design, embedded firmware, and system-level innovation.

If you have 5+ years of experience in Electronics, Communication, or Instrumentation Engineering and enjoy solving real-world embedded system challenges, we'd love to connect.

Your role
Key responsibilities in your new role

• Technical lead role for development of HW systems, evaluation boards and demonstrators
• Deep understanding of HW design workflow including schematics entry, layout, Gerber preparation and PCB manufacturing nuances
• Embedded firmware owner / definer for Infineon's automotive MCU product family
• Product-to-system activities such as interoperability experiments, throughput analysis, etc

Your profile
Qualifications and skills to help you succeed

• Bachelors / Masters in Electronics / Communication / Instrumentation with 5+ years of experience.
• Strong circuits knowhow and a tinkering mindset, to be able to understand embedded systems at a block-diagram level, select optimal HW components, develop hardware schematics, create bring-up plans for new silicon and new evaluation boards.

• Willingness to learn, think out of the box and innovate, use debug tools such as oscilloscopes, debuggers, protocol analysers for optimising end-systems
