Staff Engineer FAE - Power Device

The Field Application Engineer (FAE) at I2 is responsible for providing technical support to customers on Infineon products, with a primary focus on Power Devices — including Discrete IGBTs, IGBT Modules, SiC Devices, and Driver ICs — across a range of applications, particularly in Industrial Power Supplies, New Energy (Solar, ESS & Wind), and Motor Drives.

Your role
Key responsibilities in your new role

• Promote Infineon power devices (Discrete IGBTs, IGBT Modules, SiC Devices, Driver ICs, etc.) within customer projects.
• Identify and resolve technical issues in customer designs and platforms.
• Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to understand customer requirements and develop tailored Infineon solutions.

Your profile
Qualifications and skills to help you succeed

• Master's degree or above, 3+ years of relevant work experience
• Solid knowledge of electrical engineering, with familiarity in power devices such as IGBTs, Diodes, MOSFETs, and Bipolar transistors
  
• Hands-on system design experience in one or more of the following areas: Solar Inverters, Wind Converters, Motor Drives, Industrial Power Supplies, or UPS Systems
• In-depth technical expertise and practical experience in power device applications, including loss calculation, thermal evaluation, switching behavior, and SOA analysis
• Strong understanding of Driver ICs and driver circuit design and development
• Familiarity with common power converter topologies, such as half-bridge, full-bridge, and 3-level configurations
• Broad system-level understanding of Industrial Power Supplies, Solar, and Wind energy applications
• Working knowledge of analog and digital circuits
• Basic understanding of marketing or business principles
• Strong written and spoken English communication skills
