Infineon Technologies Americas Corp. is seeking a Staff Engineer Verification (San Jose, CA) to debug the SI/PI and EMC failures. Conduct lab EMC measurement and follow up on issue resolving. Develop test plans to validate signal and power integrity. Perform SI/PI and EMC analysis in designing working solutions ranging from chip to chip, board to board and system to system. Develop, simulate, validate channel models with electromagnetic field solvers, such as Ansys HFSS and SiWave. Review and optimize package and PCB design to ensure signal and power integrity. Perform PCB timing analysis, work with board engineers and layout designers to implement all SI/PI rules, develop layout/SI/PI/PDN checklists. Perform SI DVT measurements on boards and correlate simulations with DVT measurements.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Requires a Master’s or foreign equivalent degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, or a related field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation. Experience must include two (2) years with each of the following:

1. EM theory on solving SI/PI/EMC issues in a modern high-speed system.
2. Fundamental concepts of electromagnetic theory.
3. EMC design and debugging techniques.
4. Modern digital signal processing technique for data communication systems.
5. Transmission line theory and high-speed Printed Circuit Boards (PCB) design.
6. Board stackup, trace geometries, and impact on SI.
7. Ansys HFSS, SIwave, DesignerSI, HSPICE, and Agilent ADS.
8. Lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, VNA, TDR, and logic analyzers.

Salary Range: $148,698 – $163,567.80 per year
