In this role, you will lead methodology improvements, drive automation initiatives, and collaborate with global teams to enhance design quality, engineering productivity, and development efficiency across Infineon's cutting-edge projects.


Your role
Key responsibilities in your new role

  • Define, standardize, and improve design methodologies across the semi-custom design flow.
  • Identify methodology gaps, drive process improvements, and develop automation solutions to enable efficient and correct-by-construction design practices.
  • Evaluate and recommend optimal solutions by balancing technical requirements, available options, and cost considerations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for design teams, providing technical support and ensuring smooth project execution.
  • Collaborate with global R&D teams and EDA vendors to resolve methodology, tool, and flow-related issues.
  • Coordinate with IT and EDA license management teams to ensure infrastructure and tool availability align with project requirements.
  • Drive improvements in design quality, engineering efficiency, and time-to-market across Infineon development projects.


Your profile
Qualifications and skills to help you succeed

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in EDA tool support, design methodology, or semiconductor design environments.
  • Hands-on experience with verification tools from Siemens EDA, Cadence, or Synopsys.
  • Knowledge of functional verification for semi-custom designs, including test environment creation, testbench development, and verification of digital and mixed-signal designs.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate technical options and drive effective solutions.
  • Business-level English communication skills (TOEIC 700+ or equivalent).
  • Native-level Japanese communication skills.
  • Preferred to have experiences in studying overseas, working abroad, or working in multinational or cross-cultural environments.
  • Preferred to have experience in the automotive semiconductor industry.
