Your Role
Key responsibilities in your new role
As a Staff Software System Application Engineer for Motor Control, you push ideas to their full implementation and application. Furthermore, you anticipate even the future needs of customers and engage actively with the customer about these needs. Lastly, you cooperate across boundaries and appreciate the contributions of other people.
- Drive customer design-ins for Motor Control solutions in Home Appliances with direct customer interaction
- Hands-on bring-up & debugging of motor-drive systems in the lab and on-site; identify root causes and implement fixes/workarounds
- Develop system solutions combining embedded firmware and hardware integration (MCU + power stage + sensing + protection)
- Validate and document performance and robustness; provide application notes, reference material, and customer trainings
- Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Marketing, and Account Teams and feed customer needs into future products
Your Profile
Qualifications and skills to help you succeed
- Master\’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Embedded/Software Engineering, or equivalent
- 3-5 years of experience in embedded/system/application engineering with customer exposure, with proven experience in motor control
- Strong C skills and practical debugging skills (JTAG/SWD; oscilloscope/logic analyzer mindset)
- Strong motor control fundamentals: solid knowledge of BLDC/PMSM control including FOC, PWM/ADC timing & synchronization, current sensing, and protection concepts
- Clear communicator able to run workshops/trainings; fluent English (German a plus); willing to travel in EMEA
For Austria location: We offer competitive salaries and additional benefits based on your performance, experience and qualification. The employment is in accordance with the collective salary and wage agreement for employees of the electrical and electronics industry, employment group H-I (https://www.feei.at/leistungen/informations-service/mindestlohne-und-gehalter). The monthly salary is paid 14 times p.a. We offer a higher compensation depending on your expertise and skills.
