Job Description
As a Staff Specialist Systems and DevOps Engineer, you will support our infrastructure team to operate and maintain our Cyber Security infrastructure and the applications operated on top of it.

In your new role you will:

• Infrastructure Management: Implement, operate and maintain our infrastructure hosted on our own hardware
  • Manage Virtual Machines, Firewall rules, and DNS entries using Terraform
  • Configure Virtual Machines (Ubuntu) using Ansible
  • Administrate infrastructure components like the firewall, switches, Proxmox or the VPN
  • Give technical support on infrastructure related topics if needed

• Application Management: Setup, configure, integrate, update and maintain various applications on our Cybersecurity infrastructure
  • Help with the administration of 3rd party applications like Jira, Confluence, Gitlab, Keycloak, Elasticsearch used within Cybersecurity
  • Support deployment and server setups for applications developed within the Cybersecurity teams
  • Support teams with our Gitlab deploy pipelines and the Docker /Docker Compose setup.

• Diagnose and resolve issues in our infrastructure or application
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of assets, setups, configurations, processes and procedures
• Work in close collaboration with Cybersecurity teams and the IT department to ensure seamless operation.

Your Profile
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual with excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset to work effectively within an international team. Your curiosity for technical challenges and diverse technologies, quick adaptability to new topics, and eagerness to learn and share knowledge will be key to your success in this dynamic environment.

You are best equipped for this task if you have:

• Master or Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, IT Security or any equivalent course
• At least 3 or more years of experience in System administration
• Strong proficiency in Linux system administration (Ubuntu)
• Hands on experience with container technologies (Docker / Compose) and automated deployment pipelines (Gitlab CI/CD)
• Familiarity with scripting languages and automation tools (e.g. Python, Bash, Ansible, Terraform)
• Solid understanding of system monitoring, logging, and alerting practices.
• Knowledge in networking (firewalls, switches, VLANs, routing) is helpful
• Experience with virtualization platforms (Proxmox / ESXI) is beneficial
• Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities. Ability to identify and resolve complex issues efficiently
• Fluent in English.
