Your Role
Key responsibilities in your new role
As a System Application Engineer you will drive testing and development of motor control applications for Infineon’s integrated circuits in high-voltage traction and auxiliary inverter systems for electric vehicles, covering hardware-software integration and technical materials for Go2Market activities.
- Perform testing and validation of hardware systems that are part of the main inverter or HVAC high-voltage auxiliary inverter applications
- Create technical customer documentation such as application notes based on validation results
- Integrate and develop embedded SW for Infineon or ARM-based microcontrollers to operate and monitor evaluated applications
- Contribute to thermal management reference applications based on Infineon products, including schematic design and PCB layout
- Contribute to the creation of design-in materials for the market launch of Infineon products, including system demonstrators
- Prepare technical trainings for internal and external sales partners and customers
Your Profile
Qualifications and skills to help you succeed
You are a motivated engineer with solid expertise in automotive electronics and are interested to work in a high-voltage environment, where attention to detail and organizational skills are paramount.
- University degree in Electronical or Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience in a technical role as an electronic circuit design, validation or application engineer
- Excellent knowledge of electronic laboratory equipment (oscilloscopes, signal generators, etc.) and previous experience with high voltage measurements is preferred
- Solid knowledge of embedded C programming and good overall programming skills (C/C++, MATLAB, Python)
- PCB design and layout expertise are a plus
- Good work experience with gate driver applications for DC and BLDC motors and with microcontrollers for automotive applications
- Fluency in English is mandatory
