Your Role
Key responsibilities in your new role
We are looking for a motivated and talented student to join our team focused on CAD infrastructure and methodology development to facilitate robust and efficient chip design at Infineon. In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the enhancement of our core responsibilities by leveraging your Python skills in automation and data processing, while gaining invaluable hands-on experience.
- Programming: Develop and maintain Python scripts and applications to enhance CAD infrastructure
- Technical support: Oversee code documentation, automate release processes, and assist in building and improving CAD infrastructure
- Costumer support: Resolve user issues and requests
Your Profile
Qualifications and skills to help you succeed
To succeed in this role, you should be a team player with excellent communication skills and a strong ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment. A proactive and problem-solving mindset is also essential to thrive in our supportive and innovative team.
- Study field: Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related STEM field
- Experience: You preferably already have work experience in industry in the field of software development
- Skills: Proficiency in Python programming and the Python ecosystem is essential, along with knowledge of software development process and tooling in general. Hands-on experience using the Linux OS is also required
- Language skills: You have fluent English skills, both spoken and written; German is a plus

Important information:
- Working part-time: The focus is on studies. That’s why working as a student employee during lecture period is limited to a maximum of 20 hours per week.
- Proper students (according to the German law) are welcome: To work as a student employee with us, you must be enrolled at a university and not have completed all of your exams or modules for your degree programme. You must not be in a semester of leave. We look forward to welcoming you to our team for at least 6 months.
- You should live close to the site: For good collaboration, it is important to us that you can come to the office regularly to integrate to the team.
