Your Role
The role involves researching and gaining a deep understanding of Infineon\’s industrial power semiconductor switches.

Key responsibilities in your new role

• Experience research: Learn about Infineon\’s industrial power semiconductor switches. Gain a deep understanding of traditional and WBG technologies (SiC MOSFET, GaN, IGBT, JFET)
• Take responsibility: Prepare product simulation models, work on device and application level simulations and evaluate product performance under different operating conditions
• Focus on the future: Design, build, and evaluate working hardware to support customer design-in activities
• Reliable work: Develop an approach to compare and identify right-fit solutions. Document results and findings

Your Profile

Qualifications and skills to help you succeed

• Education: Pursuing a Bachelor\’s or Master\’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics or a similar field
• Internship Experience: Previous internship experience is a plus
• Technical Skills: Knowledge of simulation software tools such as LTspice, SIMetrix, Plecs, and MATLAB. Familiarity with mechanical design tools (3D CAD) is a plus
• Practical Skills: Basic competence in working in a lab environment, preferably with high power systems
  
• Soft Skills: Ability to manage time effectively, work independently, and a mindset motivated to explore new topics. Capable of working effectively in an international team
• Availability: You are available for a 6 months contract, and available to commute to site regularly
• Language Skills: Fluent in English, German is a plus

Important information for working student:

• Working part-time: The focus is on studies. That’s why working as a student employee during lecture period is limited to a maximum of 20 hours per week.
• Proper students (according to the German law) are welcome: To work as a student employee with us, you must be enrolled at a university and not have completed all of your exams or modules for your degree programme. You must not be in a semester of leave. We look forward to welcoming you to our team for at least 6 months.
• You should live close to the site: For good collaboration, it is important to us that you can come to the office regularly to integrate to the team.
