Your Role

Key responsibilities in your new role

  • Testing Environment: Build up a testing environment to test a GUI tool interacting with an embedded target device
  • Setup Familiarity: Acquire a great understanding of the testing tool and its setup, including installation, configuration, and interaction with hardware and software components
  • Tool Functionality: Develop detailed and comprehensive test cases to systematically verify the tool’s functionality
  • Experience Gitlab CI: Integrate the test environment into GitLab CI, automating test execution for continuous integration and ensuring reliable, reproducible testing processes
  • Integrate Findings: Incorporate feedback and findings from testing to improve both the PC tool and embedded code, enhancing overall stability and usability on the hardware interface

Your Profile

Qualifications and skills to help you succeed

  • Education: Enrolled in Engineering, Computer Science or similar
  • Programming Skills: Proficiency with Python, C, C++ with QT (Software Development), paired with understanding of XML or similar
  • Previous Experiences: Hands-on knowledge with embedded software and application development. Experience with Logic analyzer equipment is a plus
  • Way of working: Good organization skills, with keen interest in hands-on projects and tools related with coding and hardware, while being comfortable in a team environment
  • Languages: Fluency in English. German is a plus

Important information:

  • Working part-time: The focus is on studies. That’s why working as a student employee during lecture period is limited to a maximum of 20 hours per week.
  • Proper students (according to the German law) are welcome: To work as a student employee with us, you must be enrolled at a university and not have completed all of your exams or modules for your degree programme. You must not be in a semester of leave. We look forward to welcoming you to our team for at least 6 months.
  • You should live close to the site: For good collaboration, it is important to us that you can come to the office regularly to integrate to the team.
