In this Staff Engineer Design Automation role, you will empower mixed-signal IC design on our Research & Development team by optimizing the design environment and tooling. You’ll collaborate with chip designers and software providers to resolve issues, drive enhancements, and promote AI-driven methodologies. You’ll shape how design tools scale to support productive, high-availability workflows. This is a chance to impact cutting-edge semiconductor projects within a global engineering community.

Verantwortungsbereiche
- Provide first-level support to mixed-signal IC design teams for development flow and EDA tools
- Consult with design projects to optimize usage of environments and methodologies
- Initiate and track enhancements to the design environment for high availability
- Collaborate with internal software tool providers to develop and improve solutions
- Promote and roll out new methodologies, especially AI-driven, in design projects
- Foster knowledge sharing within the global Design Application Engineering Community
Zentrale Anforderungen
- University degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
- 3-5 years of relevant experience
- Programming skills: Python, Perl, Tcl, SKILL (Cadence)
- Strong Unix/Linux and remote computing experience
- Experience with state-of-the-art EDA tools (Cadence, Synopsys, Siemens)
- Knowledge of hardware description languages
- Basic knowledge of analog and digital design techniques
- Experience with GenAI tools
- Strong soft skills: teamwork, technical communication, time management
