Have you heard of Infineon´s ambitious masterplan to develop our next hybrid automotive microprocessor-microcontroller generation? As a Principal Engineer Software Architecture for In-Vehicle Networking, you will act as a key driver in our Platform Architecture and Innovation Team to define the top-level software architecture of our novel platform. With this position you will be entering our Technical Ladder: a special career path for those who share innovative ideas, demonstrate comprehensive technical knowledge, show thought leadership, possess problem solving abilities and are able to create business value. This position can be filled in Munich or Langen.
In your new role you will:
- Define the top-level software architecture optimized for Infineon automotive microcontroller
- Be the key player for the definition of low layer software with focus on automotive high-speed communication network involving ETH and including security aspects
- Define system architectures for AUTOSAR and non-AUTOSAR environments for software-defined vehicles
- Drive hardware/software co-design for new microcontroller platforms
- Take ownership for feasibility studies and for the definition and execution of proof of concepts
- Lead and conduct technical benchmarking activities
- Serve as a source of expertise for technical marketing and requirements engineering
- Engage in technical discussions with customers and partners with focus on real time operating systems

You know how important it is to successfully and quickly implement innovations. That\’s why you want to create working conditions in which ideas can emerge and innovations can be implemented quickly.
You are best equipped for those tasks if you have:
- A technical degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Information Technology, preferably a PhD
- At least 6+ years of professional experience in the field of automotive and embedded software engineering and proven ability to take leadership in your field of expertise
- Work experience in definition & development of communication stacks including security features & TSN
- Profound knowledge in automotive networking & security aspects
- Experience with different CPU cores like ARM, ARC, RISC-V, Tricore, etc.
- Good communication & collaboration skills in English
