Overview
As a Senior System Application Engineer you drive regional go-to-market activities and technical engagement for AI data center power systems. You translate customer needs into scalable, reference architectures and cross-portfolio solutions that blend hardware, firmware, and tools. You collaborate across global teams to validate concepts and support customer onboarding, aiming to accelerate adoption of Infineon’s power technologies. This role offers meaningful impact in decarbonizing and digitalizing data center infrastructure.
Verantwortungsbereiche
- Plan and execute regional G2M activities for AI data center infrastructure apps focusing on SSCB, SST, and UPS
- Promote Infineon’s cross-portfolio offerings to maximize customer adoption
- Collaborate across divisions to develop scalable reference architectures and ready-to-deploy solution bundles
- Perform system-level simulation, validation, and analysis; conduct laboratory testing to optimize performance and reliability
- Develop, evaluate, and troubleshoot proofs-of-concept, evaluation platforms, and demo boards; define test plans and document results
- Translate regional market requirements and customer feedback into portfolio and roadmap recommendations
- Provide 2nd-level technical support and enable regional growth through trainings, workshops, and documentation
Zentrale Anforderungen
- 6+ years of relevant experience in semiconductor/system application engineering, power conversion, data center infrastructure or industrial power systems
- Strong understanding of AI data center power architectures, SSCB concepts, SST-based conversion, UPS topologies and control strategies
- Broad knowledge of power devices (Si, SiC, JFET, GaN), gate drivers, protection, isolation, sensing, and microcontroller tech and their system interactions
- Hands-on experience in system modeling, simulation, lab validation, efficiency/thermal analysis, high-voltage testing; development of evaluation boards and reference designs
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with ability to influence cross-functional teams
- Willingness to travel within EMEA; English proficiency; German skills a plus
