#WeAreIn for jobs that impact everyone's life.What if your ideas could change the way the world connects, powers up, or thinks?As a System Architect (SAR) – Functional Safety (Humanoid Robotics & Embodied AI) on our Research & Development team, you'll have the opportunity to merge creativity with your technical expertise by shaping the future of technology, driving groundbreaking projects, and bringing new ideas to life.Are you in?Your roleKey responsibilities in your new roleYou will define end-to-end functional safety architectures for humanoid robots and embodied AI systemsTranslate customer use cases into system-level safety concepts and semiconductor requirementsLead Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessment (HARA) activities together with customers and ecosystem partnersDevelop safety concepts for robotic perception, motion control, manipulation, power distribution and actuator controlCreate scalable reference architecture covering; sensing, AI compute, motor control, battery management, power electronics, communicationDrive allocation of safety goals to hardware and software componentsCollaborate with PL to influence future semiconductor roadmapsSupport strategic customer projects from concept through architecture definitionRepresent Infineon in technical workshops, conferences and industry working groupsContribute to safety manuals, application notes, white papers and reference designsEvaluate emerging safety standards and their impact on humanoid roboticsSupport business development through technical leadership and customer engagementDefine and implement functional safety diagnostics and safety mechanisms across sensing, computing, communication, power and control subsystemsEnsure end-to-end traceability of safety requirements from customer use cases through system, hardware and software implementationApply Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies to develop, analyze and validate system architectures and safety conceptsLead cross-functional systems engineering activities to ensure alignment of safety, performance, reliability and product requirementsYour profileQualifications and skills to help you succeed Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, Control Engineering or similarSeveral years of experience in Functional SafetyStrong systems engineering mindsetExcellent communication skillsAbility to work across multidisciplinary international teamsStrong knowledge of Functional Safety principles, methodologies, and standardsExpertise in Functional Safety Diagnostics and safety analysis techniquesSolid background in Systems Engineering, including system definition, integration, and validationProven experience in Requirements Engineering and requirements management processesStrong understanding of System Architecture design for complex embedded and cyber-physical systemsExperience developing Safety Concepts at system and component levelsProficiency in Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) and other safety assessment methodsKnowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approaches and toolsExperience ensuring Requirements Traceability throughout the product lifecycleExperience in one or more of the following industries or domains is highly desirable: Robotics OEMs, Industrial Automation, Automotive Functional Safety, Medical Robotics, Autonomous Systems, Safety Certification Processes, AI-Enabled Robotic Systems and Safety Software DevelopmentAdditional information by locationAustriaWe offer competitive salaries and additional benefits based on your performance, experience and qualification.
