Overview
As a Product Development Engineer in Infineon’s Research & Development team, you will shape high-voltage power semiconductor products for e-mobility, merging creativity with technical expertise. You will work on SiC devices and related power electronics to drive groundbreaking projects that support decarbonization and digitalization. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to define products, run characterization, and assess risks, contributing to a mission that accelerates safe and efficient mobility. This is a hands-on role with impact across product definition, design, and validation.

Verantwortungsbereiche
- Develop power semiconductor products for high voltage e-mobility applications
- Electrically, mechanically and thermally design discrete and bare SiC devices
- Contribute to new product definitions via requirements gathering and specification tailoring
- Define characterization plans and derive inputs for datasheets
- Lead and participate in risk assessments and FMEAs
Zentrale Anforderungen
- Master/PhD in Physics, Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field
- 2+ years of semiconductor industry experience
- Deep knowledge of semiconductor physics and power devices, especially high voltage SiC MOSFETs, diodes, IGBTs
- Knowledge in package development and FE/BE interaction (advantage)
- Innovative mindset with ability to work with diverse stakeholders
- Programming and data analysis skills, preferably Python
- Excellent English communication skills; German is a plus
