Overview
In this senior advisory role, you lead client-facing workstreams on infrastructure and cloud sourcing, spanning public, private, and hybrid models. You shape end-to-end sourcing strategies, run complex RFx processes, and mentor junior team members while contributing to ISG’s thought leadership in the DACH region. You help clients optimize performance, resilience, and cost through modern cloud and datacenter architectures. This position offers autonomy, visibility, and a clear progression path within ISG.

Verantwortungsbereiche
- Lead cloud and infrastructure–focused sourcing and transformation workstreams across public, private, hybrid cloud, datacenter services, network transformation, and edge deployments
- Develop cloud and infrastructure sourcing strategies, business cases, requirements, and commercial models
- Manage end-to-end RFx processes (RFI, RFP, RFQ), vendor assessments, solution comparisons, and contract/price negotiations
- Assess providers’ cloud/infrastructure capabilities and operating models using ISG benchmarks and data
- Define future-state cloud/infrastructure operating models, governance, service integration, and transition planning
- Facilitate workshops on cloud strategy, infrastructure modernization, and service design for senior stakeholders
- Coach junior consultants and ensure quality across deliverables
- Contribute to proposals, thought leadership, and ISG’s sourcing methodologies
- Collaborate with international teams across consulting, research, benchmarking, and managed services
Zentrale Anforderungen
- 5–8 years of experience in technology consulting, infrastructure/cloud strategy, IT sourcing, vendor management, or adjacent fields
- Strong understanding of infrastructure architectures, cloud models (public/hybrid/private), datacenter services, network services, and edge computing
- Proven experience leading sourcing or transformation initiatives in these domains
- Ability to translate complex technical topics into actionable business decisions
- Confident engagement with senior technical and business stakeholders
- Strong analytical, presentation, and communication skills (German and English at C1+)
- Hands-on, structured, and comfortable working in agile, cross-functional teams
- Experience mentoring junior consultants is an advantage
