Job description
Role: Senior Corporate Counsel – Intellectual Property & Artificial Intelligence
Location: The Netherlands, Germany or the UK (Amsterdam, Frankfurt, London)
We are looking for a Senior Corporate Counsel to join our global IP team in Europe or the UK. You can be based outside of Amsterdam, Frankfurt or London, but should be able to commute to the respective offices as required.
You will work with the IP transactions legal team and the wider global IP legal team on IP, AI, and data privacy law matters, including but not limited to:
- Providing guidance on compliance requirements around AI technology and negotiating AI-related contract terms.
- Collaborating on processes related to AI adoption across the organization.
- Interpreting AI laws in the UK and Europe and their impact on Infosys.
- Engaging with government regulators and agencies.
- Reviewing technical and legal aspects of service or product agreements, and negotiating risks with clients, vendors, or partners.
- Managing IP, AI, and data privacy risk assessments for product/platform development.
- Understanding technical and commercial contexts to draft legal agreements from an IP, AI, and data privacy perspective.
- Conducting legal research on emerging AI regulations to update contractual positions.
- Developing IP and AI awareness materials for the organization.
This role is broad and varies daily based on business needs. We seek a team player who enjoys challenges, works well in a fast-paced, multicultural environment, and collaborates with global teams.
Qualifications and Skillset
Candidates should have experience advising across European jurisdictions and be adaptable, proactive, and outcome-oriented. Preferred qualifications include:
- 8-12 years\‘ experience in a corporate or law firm setting.
- LLB or LLM degree.
- Technical background in electronics/software preferred.
- Familiarity with AI technology and regulatory developments in the EU and UK.
- Strong understanding of contract types like MSAs, software licenses, SaaS, MOUs, etc.
- Interest in emerging tech such as AI, IoT, Cloud, Security.
- Knowledge of IP concepts including patents, copyrights, trade secrets, licensing, and related legal issues.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proven solutions to complex legal and technical issues.
- Ability to work independently and in teams.
- Logical reasoning and analytical skills.
