Overview
As a Principal Consultant, you drive end-to-end data migration for large SAP transformations, shaping the data path from assessment to cutover. You will lead the Data Migration lifecycle, ensuring high-quality data and minimal business disruption during go-live. You’ll work with cross-functional teams and SAP experts to enforce governance, data quality, and risk management. This role offers impact at scale, influence on migration Factory models, and collaboration across global teams. You’ll be at the forefront of SAP S/4HANA migrations and data integration initiatives that enable efficient, compliant transitions.
Verantwortungsbereiche
- Define and deliver end-to-end data migration strategy for large-scale transformations
- Lead all migration lifecycle phases: assessment, profiling, cleansing, mapping, transformation, validation, mock loads, cutover
- Govern data quality, governance, and compliance; manage risks, dependencies, and timelines
- Oversee Data Migration Factory and global teams; coordinate cutover and go-live with minimal disruption
- Oversee load programs using ABAP or SAP tools (LSMW, LTMC/Migration Cockpit, ALE) and ensure data loads are accurate and complete
- Collaborate with business, IT, SAP experts, and vendors to identify, extract, cleanse, map, and load data into SAP systems
- Provide guidance on data assessment processes and ETL design/implementation
- Manage stakeholder engagement and deliver status reporting with KPI-driven governance
Zentrale Anforderungen
- SAP data migration experience with at least 2 full-cycle S/4HANA implementations
- Strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA migration tools
- Experience leading global cross-functional teams and stakeholder management across business, IT, SAP, and vendors
- Experience defining and operating Data Migration Factory models, including delivery governance and risk mitigation
- Experience load activities across all migration phases and validating data in SAP
- Knowledge of data assessment, profiling, cleansing, mapping, transformation, and validation processes
