Vice President Portfolio Management – Project Finance Energy & TMT (f/m/x) in Frankfurt am Main

Your Tasks

• You proactively manage a portfolio of project finance transactions, particularly in the Energy and TMT (technology, media & telecommunications) sectors. Where required, you flexibly take on responsibility for further portfolios.
• In your day-to-day work, you skilfully handle a broad range of portfolio management activities, including refinancing, loan conditions, reviews, analyses, and monitoring, keep a close eye on market trends, and manage their effects on your portfolio at every stage.
• By implementing effective measures in capital allocation as well as portfolio management, you keep risks under control, optimise yields, and contribute your expertise to risk analyses or in-life management.
• You create and prepare high-quality loan applications and decision templates. You work carefully and confidently with financial models, loan documents and legal analyses, supporting client partners in their decision-making processes.
• Of course, you also work diligently on non-performing loans, watchlist cases, and restructurings, working to mitigate risks and achieve resolutions.
• Through your respectful and confident communication with customers, sponsors and (legal) advisors, as well as with internal departments like Sector Coverage, Risk Management, Syndication and Legal, you proactively work towards a successful and yield-optimised portfolio with an appropriate risk profile.
• As a driving force in portfolio management you lead the preparation of portfolio analyses, dive deep into industry and sector trends, and contribute expertly to local and global initiatives within your area of responsibility.

Your Profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in economics / business administration / finance or a comparable qualification
• Several years of relevant professional experience in Wholesale Banking
• Ideally, proficiency in lending, project finance, or in the Energy / TMT sectors
• Strong understanding of loan documentation in specialised lending / structured finance
• Excellent know-how of financial modelling, loan analysis as well as the creation of credit votes / credit reports
• Proficiency in MS Office, Copilot, and rating tools
• Exceptional communication skills, independent way of working, and a high degree of attention to detail
• Adaptable team player
• Open to cultural diversity in an international environment
• Good German and English, both written and spoken
