Airbus is looking for a Development Engineer (d/m/w) for the area „C2 and Battle Management“ in the department „Air Defense Assets Development“ for the topic NATO Tactical Data Links (TDL). The department „Air Defense Assets Development“ deals with the development of complex software components for the broad use in military systems of Airbus Defence and Space.

The job holder will work as Software Developer – NATO Tactical Data Links (d/m/w) for the further development of the Multi Data Link Processor, which enables the integration of different NATO Tactical Data Links via a Multi Link Interface.

Main tasks:

1. Implementation of software components in C++ on the Linux operating system
2. Independent testing of the developed components and support with system integration
3. Compliance with the development process and quality requirements

Your profile:

1. Completed studies in computer science, software engineering or comparable qualification
2. Several years of professional experience in the software development of C++ based applications on the Linux operating system is required
3. Sound knowledge of software development tools such as Eclipse, Subversion or Git is a must
4. Experience with network programming, TCP/IP is required
5. Business fluent in German and English
6. A responsible and independent way of working
7. The ability to work in a team and good communication skills
