You will join one of our research projects hosted by a leading partner laboratory in Cologne, Germany. Your main mission will be to efficiently manage the project entrusted to you, taking an active part in its design, execution and delivery. You will be in charge of implementing all the experimental techniques required, processing and analysing the resulting data, and contributing to the dissemination and valorisation of the outcomes of Inovarion's research programmes.

The position is to be filled rapidly.

Your profile

We are looking for a Research Associate (m/w/d) holding either a Bachelor's degree (BSc) with significant hands-on lab experience, or a Master's degree (MSc) in biology, biochemistry or a related field, with solid practical skills in the following areas:

  • Cell biology: culture and maintenance of standard human cell lines (e.g. HEK293), preparation of culture media, plasmid transfection, drug treatments, cell harvesting;

  • Protein biochemistry: total protein extraction, protein quantification, SDS-PAGE, Western blot (transfer and immunodetection), preparation of buffers and reagents;

  • Protein-protein interaction techniques: pull-down of biotinylated proteins using streptavidin beads;

  • Scientific documentation: thorough lab notebook keeping, experimental reports and regular reporting of results.

A good command of English (spoken and written) is required, as English will be the daily working language in the scientific environment.

Soft skills

You are dynamic, meticulous and autonomous at the bench. You enjoy working as part of a team, have strong organisational skills, and feel at ease in an international scientific environment. A taste for international mobility and the ability to adapt to a new working context will be valuable assets to thrive in this role.
