CTO (m/w/d)

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and a technical co-founder to join our team and lead the development of our innovative SaaS solution. The CTO will play a key role in shaping the direction and growth of the company and will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of the company’s technology and product strategy.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Lead the development and implementation of the company’s technology strategy, ensuring it is future-proof, clean, maintainable and aligns with the overall business strategy.
2. Build and manage a high-performing technology team, setting goals, providing mentorship and coaching, and promoting a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
3. Propagate Agile and DevOps cultures among management and team members.
4. Collaborate with CEO, sales, finance and marketing to keep track of the requirements, development budgets and product design.
5. Stay current on new technologies and industry trends, and continuously explore opportunities to integrate them into the company’s products and services, especially in the areas of SaaS, AI, Augmented Reality, and IoT.
6. Act as the primary spokesperson for the company on matters related to technology, representing the company at industry events, conferences and other public forums.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
2. Proven experience as a CTO or senior technology leader in a start-up or other fast-paced environment.
3. Strong background in mobile and web-based software development, with a track record of delivering solutions on time and on budget.
4. Extensive knowledge of at least one major programming language/framework, e.g. .NET, Python, node.js.
5. Broad cross-disciplinary knowledge of Software-as-a-Service development and operations, cloud computing, data security and GDPR compliance.
6. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to build and lead high-performing teams.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and solve complex problems.
8. Passion for technology and a strong desire to stay current with new developments in the field.
9. Fluency in English and German; other languages are a plus.
