Senior Reliability Engineering Job Opportunity
Location: Onsite in Newark, DE
Shift: 1st Shift (M-F)
Compensation: $58/hr to $74/hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Asset Management, Reliability Engineering, or related technical discipline preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance, reliability engineering, asset management, manufacturing engineering, or industrial operations.
- Strong understanding of preventive, predictive, and reliability-centered maintenance practices.
- Strong project management and stakeholder coordination skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) or equivalent certification.
- Experience with asset criticality assessments and reliability improvement programs.
- Familiarity with SAP PM, Maximo, MaintainX, or similar CMMS platforms.
- Experience conducting FMEA, RCM, RCA, or Weibull analysis.
- Knowledge of industrial automation, controls, and manufacturing equipment.
- Experience supporting capital planning and asset replacement decisions.
Job Description
The Senior Reliability Engineering Consultant will lead the development and implementation of maintenance strategies for critical production assets at the Newark facility. This role will be responsible for driving equipment reliability improvement initiatives, evaluating maintenance programs, optimizing preventive maintenance (PM) strategies, assessing spare parts requirements, and developing equipment replacement and lifecycle management recommendations.
The successful candidate will work cross-functionally with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Reliability, and Procurement teams to establish sustainable maintenance practices that reduce risk, improve asset performance, and increase equipment availability.
This is a two-year contract position supporting site-wide reliability and asset management initiatives.
Primary Responsibilities
Asset Reliability Program Leadership
- Lead execution of a structured asset management and maintenance strategy program across the Newark facility.
- Coordinate with site leadership to prioritize critical assets for evaluation.
- Establish project plans, milestones, and progress reporting mechanisms.
- Facilitate recurring meetings to drive alignment, accountability, and program execution.
- Provide regular status updates and recommendations to site leadership.
Maintenance Strategy Development
- Evaluate existing preventive maintenance (PM) programs for critical equipment.
- Assess PM effectiveness using maintenance history, equipment performance, and failure data.
- Develop optimized maintenance strategies utilizing preventive, predictive, condition-based, and reliability-centered maintenance principles where appropriate.
- Recommend maintenance task frequencies, procedures, and inspection requirements.
- Identify opportunities to increase usage of Predictive Maintenance Technologies as a replacement for time based PM Strategies.
Spare Parts and Inventory Optimization
- Evaluate critical spare parts inventory levels and stocking strategies.
- Review OEM recommended spare parts lists and inventory requirements.
- Analyze spare parts consumption history and equipment dependency.
- Develop recommendations for inventory optimization and risk reduction.
- Work with suppliers and procurement teams to obtain technical and commercial information.
Data Analysis & Documentation
- Analyze CMMS data, maintenance history, downtime records, and equipment performance trends.
- Develop equipment strategies, maintenance plans, and reliability documentation.
- Maintain project databases, reports, and tracking tools.
- Create final assessment reports and turnover documentation for long-term site ownership.
