The position involves teaching Geography at bIB, A Level, and/or IGCSE levels /b alongside humanities at bKey Stage 3 /b through engaging, binquiry-based instruction /b. /p h3bKEY RESPONSIBILITIES: /b /h3 ul liTeach Physics and Mathematics at A Level and/or IB Diploma, with the opportunity to teach IGCSE. /li liStrive for excellence as a practitioner, with the drive and energy to inspire outstanding teaching and learning outcomes. /li liCommit to delivering the curriculum in an engaging, inquiry-based manner, making abstract concepts accessible through practical work, modelling and real-world applications. /li liPlan and deliver a rigorous programme of practical and experimental work, ensuring laboratory activities are risk-assessed and carried out safely. /li liPrepare students for external assessments, including the A Level Physics practical endorsement and IB Internal Assessments (IAs), including the Mathematics exploration, and Extended Essays (EEs). /li liContribute to Upper Senior School transition, including prerequisite assessments and bridging work for students entering A Level and IB Physics and Mathematics. /li liSupport students with university and career pathways in STEM, including preparation for university admissions tests where appropriate. /li liAdhere to faculty assessment policies and practices. /li liAttend parent-teacher/guardian conferences and meetings as required by the school. /li liWrite detailed and constructive reports on student progress in alignment with school policies. /li liParticipate in team meetings and engage with colleagues to enhance curriculum development and teaching strategies, particularly within the Science and Mathematics faculties. /li liCover classes, when necessary, in the absence of colleagues. /li liAct as a role model for students and represent the school positively, adhering to its dress code and behavioural expectations. /li liPromote a collaborative and supportive working environment, contributing as a dynamic team member. /li liSupport students as a tutor and form part of the pastoral fabric of the school. /li liOffer a club as part of the extra-curricular programme, for example STEM, robotics or Olympiad preparation. /li liDemonstrate an international mindset and collaborate effectively in a multilingual and multicultural environment. /li /ul h3bTHE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE: /b /h3 ul liProven experience teaching Physics and Mathematics at A Level and/or IB Diploma, with IGCSE experience an advantage. /li liA degree in Physics, Mathematics, Engineering or a related field. /li liA recognised teaching qualification. /li liStrong knowledge of A Level and/or IBDP assessment requirements, including practical assessment, Internal Assessments (IAs) and Extended Essays (EEs). /li liConfidence teaching A Level Mathematics (ideally Further Mathematics) and/or IB Mathematics: Analysis and Approaches or Applications and Interpretation at SL and HL. /li liAbility to set clear expectations and ambitious goals, adapting teaching styles based on feedback to ensure optimal student outcomes. /li liStrong assessment skills to evaluate student progress and provide actionable feedback to enhance performance. /li liExcellent preparation and planning skills, with confidence in integrating ICT into teaching, including data-logging, simulations and graphing software. /li liGenuine care and attention to student welfare, ensuring a positive and supportive learning environment. /li liPrevious experience teaching Senior School students (aged 15-18 years) and confidence in managing diverse classroom dynamics. /li liCommitment to continuous professional development and a mindset focused on improvement. /li /ul h3bSAFEGUARDING STATEMENT: /b /h3 pInspired Education Group is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff, volunteers and other third parties to share this commitment.
