Head of Group Accounting & Finance Transformation
In this role, you will build and continuously evolve the financial backbone of our company.
Your mission is to scale the finance organization in line with a business that is growing rapidly in revenue, geographic footprint, and operational complexity.
You will take ownership of all aspects of financial reporting, ensure compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements, and safeguard the integrity and reliability of the company’s financial data.
However, this role goes far beyond traditional accounting leadership.
We are specifically looking for someone who is passionate about automation, AI‑driven finance transformation, and building scalable, technology‑enabled finance operations.
A strong technical accountant alone will not be sufficient for the challenges and ambitions of this position.
You enjoy challenging existing processes, leveraging modern finance technologies, and identifying opportunities where automation, AI, and smart systems can fundamentally improve efficiency, data quality, decision‑making, and scalability across the finance organization.
- Your Responsibilities
- Overall leadership and people management responsibility for Accounting, Finance Operations, Treasury, and adjacent finance processes
- Lead and develop the Accounting team with a strong focus on accurate, timely, and high‑quality financial reporting
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, HGB (where applicable), and other regulatory requirements while continuously strengthening internal controls and governance frameworks
- Own the preparation and delivery of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring quality, accuracy, and on‑time reporting
- Act as a key driver of finance transformation, automation, and AI adoption across accounting and finance processes
- Identify opportunities to automate manual workflows, streamline reporting structures, and improve operational scalability through technology and intelligent systems
- Evaluate, implement, and continuously optimize finance systems, tooling, and AI‑supported solutions to modernize the finance landscape
- Partner closely with the CFO and leadership team to align the finance organization with broader business objectives and growth ambitions
- Build and develop a high‑performing finance organization while fostering a culture of continuous improvement, automation, innovation, and accountability across all finance functions
- Support and oversee tax‑related topics where required, while keeping the primary focus on accounting excellence, scalability, systems, and finance transformation
- Manage relationships with external auditors and ensure smooth execution of audits and regulatory compliance activities
- Identify, assess, and proactively manage financial and accounting‑related risks
- Desired Qualifications
- University degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- Several years of progressive experience within finance and accounting environments
- Strong track record operating within international, multi‑entity business structures
- Proven experience driving automation, systems implementation, process optimization, or AI‑related initiatives within Finance
- Strong curiosity for emerging technologies and the ability to translate technology into scalable operational improvements
- Experience within engineering, industrial, manufacturing, or scale‑up environments is considered an advantage
- Hands‑on mindset combined with enthusiasm for a fast‑moving growth environment
- Pragmatic, solution‑oriented approach with a strong focus on execution and business impact
- Structured way of working and the ability to prioritize effectively in evolving environments
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to position Finance as a strong strategic business partner
- Fluent German and English skills (company language is English)
- If not based in the Ludwigsburg / Stuttgart area: willingness to be on‑site regularly
