The IAB – Institute for Applied Construction Research Weimar is a non-profit, innovative and business-orientated research institute focusing on the development of new equipment, processes and materials for the construction industry. With over 120 employees, we have been supporting our partners and customers with practical research and development as well as application-orientated services for more than 30 years.In the administration of our institute, we are looking for an HR Administrator (Payroll) to join us as soon as possible.

Your tasks

  • Independent preparation of payroll accounting while taking into account labor, tax, and social security regulations, as well as all related notifications and certificates
  • Participation in year-end closing activities and the creation of statistics and evaluations
  • Preparation and management of employment contracts, certificates, personnel files, and the time management system
  • Consulting employees and management on HR-related topics
  • Development and implementation of personnel development measures
  • Support with labor law questions and conflict resolution
  • Promotion of a positive corporate culture and employee satisfaction
  • Recruitment and support in the onboarding of new employees

Your profile

  • Completed degree with a focus on Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a comparable field
  • In-depth knowledge of labor, social security, and tax law
  • Experience in payroll accounting
  • Proficient in HR software and MS Office
  • Knowledge of DATEV LODAS is desirable
  • Discretion, reliability, and a high level of empathy
  • Team-oriented and self-responsible, structured work style
  • Knowledge of the TVöD (Collective Agreement for the Public Sector – Federal level)
  • Fluent German language skills (written and spoken)
