The IAB – Institute for Applied Construction Research Weimar is a non-profit, innovative and business-orientated research institute focusing on the development of new equipment, processes and materials for the construction industry. With over 120 employees, we have been supporting our partners and customers with practical research and development as well as application-orientated services for more than 30 years. In the administration of our institute, we are looking for an Office Administrator to join us as soon as possible.

Responsibilities

  1. Order processing (creating offers, order confirmations, invoicing)
  2. Purchasing Management (processing orders)
  3. Project accounting (financial handling of projects)
  4. General administrative tasks
  5. Secretarial duties (organization and support in daily operations)
  6. Customer support (communication and point of contact for clients)

Qualifications

  1. Completed commercial training (e.g. Office Manager, Industrial Manager or equivalent)
  2. Experience in order processing and document management is an advantage
  3. Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  4. Strong numerical understanding and experience in financial accounting
  5. Organizational skills and structured work methods
  6. Strong communication skills and customer orientation
  7. Independence, reliability, and teamwork skills
  8. Fluent German language skills (written and spoken)
