We are an international primary school based in Geneva. We offer a rigorous French programme with a strong emphasis on the English language from the age of 3. Our families come from a variety of international backgrounds.
We are currently searching for a qualified English teacher for a long-term replacement, teaching both English and Humanities in primary. We are also looking to expand our pool of replacement teachers for both early years and primary. Prior experience in an international primary setting is essential. We are a dynamic, growing department, and there could be the possibility of a part time position as of September 2025.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparation and delivery of lessons to a variety of year groups
- Correcting pupils’ work
- Liaising with other members of staff
- Working as a coteacher for replacements in Humanities or maternelle
- Supervising children during break and lunch time as required
The successful candidate will:
- Be a qualified teacher, with PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification
- Hold a TEFL diploma – qualified to teach English to non-anglophone speakers for non-anglophone class replacements
- Be a native English speaker with a good knowledge of French
- Have teaching experience in EYFS and/or primary education
- Experience in teaching Humanities and maths a bonus, in particular Singapore maths
- Be responsible and able to work autonomously showing self-initiative
- Remain open and respectful in communication and teamwork
