Specialised Educator for the "Astres" Sector Permanent/Fixed-term Contract - Activity Rate to be Agreed
At the Lavigny Institution, in the Astres Sector, we support daily adults presenting autism spectrum disorders (ASD) associated with complex behavioural issues. The "Astres" sector consists of 3 living places. Their reality is to support men and women aged 18 to 80 living with intellectual disability and predominant behavioural disorders.
Your mission:
- Work in small-scale living environments. - Decode behaviours of complex profiles to better understand needs. - Create secure reference points and use adapted communication tools (PECS, AAC). - Support with accuracy, balancing a structured framework and kindness. - Demonstrate patience, creativity and consistency in sometimes intense situations. - Experience days combining support in daily living activities and supervised activities, designed for each individual and conducted over the long term. - Ensure the physical and mental well-being of residents, be attentive to their health status and intervene quickly if needed (nurse, general practitioner and psychiatrist present within the Institution). - Be a trusted referent, capable of understanding the emotions behind actions. - Build and adapt tailor-made individual projects. - Work closely with an experienced multidisciplinary team. - Encourage and maintain good relationships with families and legal representatives.
Your profile:
- Specialised educator training at ES or HES level, in the field of specialised education or social work. - ASE training or equivalent qualification. - Developed analytical skills allowing fine evaluation of complex situations and adaptation of intervention strategies. - Experience or strong interest in supporting complex profiles. - Trained or familiar with approaches: ABA, TEACCH, PECS, AAC (an asset). - Willing to learn, share and evolve with the team and the people cared for.
