Specialised Educator for the Specialised Day Centre - Permanent contract between 80% and 100%.
At the Lavigny institution, we support adults daily who present with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and/or challenging behaviours including so-called complex situations where auto- and hetero-aggressive behavioural disorders are associated.
Our Specialised Day Centre is open Monday to Friday (and some Saturdays per year). Its reality is to support men and women aged 18 to 80 by offering them access to activity.
Your mission
As part of the development of our services, we are looking for a specialised educator. The aim is to support individuals through personalised care, outside their living environment in a reassuring and safe setting.
Your main responsibilities
- Provide individualised educational support adapted to the specific needs of each person received. - Design, implement and evaluate personalised educational projects. - Lead structured activities that develop skills and provide physical and psychological well-being. - Prevent, understand and manage crisis situations or challenging behaviours by applying appropriate educational approaches. - Work closely with the educational teams of the residential department as well as with various network partners. - Participate in team meetings, institutional reflections and the writing of observations and reports. - Actively contribute to a safe, structured and caring environment.
Your profile
- ES / HES diploma or equivalent qualification - Proven experience with people presenting intellectual disabilities, behavioural disorders and/or ASD. - Trained or familiar with approaches: Functional, ABA, TEACCH, PECS, AAC (an asset) - Ability to analyse, manage stress and take a step back in complex situations. - Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team. - Sense of responsibility, creativity and professional commitment. - Proficiency in common IT tools and good writing skills.
