Head of the Imaging Core Facility

The prospective head of the facility (see www.biochem.mpg.de/facilities/imaging ) will be responsible for the general management and development of the facility in accordance with the needs of the MPIB research groups. Main duties of the role include training and advising both new and experienced users in a variety of bioimaging methods and assisting the scientists in developing suitable experimental setups. The head of the facility will be supported by a staff with physical-technical expertise in imaging technology and in data processing. A competitive budget will be provided to make sure that the facility keeps abreast of emerging technologies.

Candidates should have experience in natural sciences with a profound knowledge of the imaging field. We seek innovative persons with a keen interest in teaching and supervising the facility users and with strong organizational and English communication skills. The candidates' motivation comes from the commitment to find the best solution for the clients' scientific problem.
