Overview
As Lead Architect at IPS in Frankfurt, you will guide the architecture group, ensuring quality, regulatory compliance, and timely delivery of projects. You will influence technical decisions, manage day-to-day operations, and supervise staff while aligning with IPS standards and client needs. You will oversee construction administration, coordinate with project managers, and apply risk management to safeguard project and health/safety outcomes. This role offers the chance to shape facility design for pharma and biotech clients within a global, collaborative environment.
Verantwortungsbereiche
- Provide leadership of the architecture discipline and supervise the architecture group staff
- Ensure work quality, accuracy, and compliance with IPS standards, codes, and regulations
- Oversee output for regulatory and IPS project requirements and manage risk
- Develop and implement standards and tools to meet quality and performance targets
- Prepare service proposals and support proposal development
- Collaborate with Project Manager to define scope, budget, and staffing
- Review drawings for regulatory, production, and company compliance
- Oversee architectural construction administration (bulletins, sketches, submittals, RFIs)
- Ensure design intent is reflected and coordination is thorough
- Assist design team with markups and implement changes
- Review contractor pay applications
Zentrale Anforderungen
- 10+ years of diversified architectural experience, at least 8 years in supervisory/management roles
- Bachelor in Architecture (B.Arch.) with NAAB accreditation
- Architectural Registration
- 8+ years life sciences industry experience
- Extensive knowledge of process, mechanical, structural, civil, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems
- General understanding of BIM workflows
- Knowledge of building codes
- GMP cleanroom design experience
- Fluency in German
