Overview
As Project Procurement Lead, you drive end-to-end procurement for assigned IPS projects, aligning with IPS processes and client requirements. You’ll lead cross-functional teams in a matrix environment, managing packages from initiation through closeout while delivering schedules, cost control, and risk reduction. This role connects IPS with clients and internal teams, shaping procurement strategy and executing tender and contract activities. You’ll work in a fast-paced, purpose-driven environment that supports complex life sciences projects.
Verantwortungsbereiche
- Develop procurement strategies and project execution plans at initiation
- Manage pre-order and post-order phases for project packages
- Oversee project procurement team tasking and performance
- Lead tender processes from scope receipt to award recommendation
- Conduct detailed commercial evaluations and prepare award packs
- Issue Purchase Orders/Contracts and monitor order confirmations
- Expedite orders and manage change orders, invoicing, and closeout
- Maintain Approved Supplier Program records and QA-related documents
- Provide market updates and supplier evaluations to the team
- Represent IPS in client procurement interfaces and provide project support to clients
Zentrale Anforderungen
- 6–10 years of extensive project procurement experience
- Knowledge of trade contracts and equipment procurement
- Experience leading multi-national teams (advantageous)
- German & English fluent verbal and written communication
- Willingness to travel occasionally
- Right to work in Germany
- MCIPS qualification or progress toward MCIPS desirable
- Strong commercial acumen and contract risk understanding
- Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems
- Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills
