Role Objective:

Develop and expand Intellect’s presence across the assigned region by driving new client acquisition and building long-term relationships with Tier 1 and Tier 2 financial institutions. The role carries an annual sales quota of £1M.

Scope of Role:

• Market Development: Identify and penetrate new accounts across Tier 1 and Tier 2 banks, challenger banks, and building societies.




• Pipeline Growth: Build and manage a healthy funnel of opportunities, ensuring consistent orderbook growth.




• Portfolio Sales: Promote Intellect’s fintech solutions across Payments, Cash Management, Lending, Liquidity, and Core Banking, with a strong emphasis on leveraging AI capabilities.




• Client Engagement: Establish strong relationships with decision-makers and influencers to position Intellect as a trusted partner.




• Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, pre-sales, and delivery teams to ensure successful client acquisition and onboarding.

Key Requirements:

• Sales Experience: Proven track record in enterprise software/business development within the banking/financial technology sector.




• Deal Size: Demonstrated experience in closing deals of approximately £1M annually.




• Domain Knowledge: Familiarity with banking solutions such as Payments, Cash Management, Lending, Treasury, Liquidity, or Core Banking.




• Network: Established contacts within Tier 1 & 2 banks and fintechs in the region.




• Skills: Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management abilities.




• Mindset: Self-starter with resilience, drive, and the ability to exceed targets in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field; MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification preferred.




• 7+ years of progressive experience in sales/business development within BFSI or fintech.




• Demonstrated success in developing new markets and achieving annual quotas of £1M–£1.5M.




• Strong exposure to European financial services markets, particularly Germany, Central, and Eastern Europe.




• Experience working with cross-functional teams across sales, marketing, and delivery.




• Proven ability to engage with C-level executives and close complex enterprise deals.
