- Your Responsibilities
- Analyze, assess, and further develop existing application, data, and integration landscapes in the construction IT (Bau-IT) environment.
- Develop business and technical target architectures as well as solution architectures, taking into account business requirements, technology guidelines, and the client's architecture standards.
- Create and document solution architectures using established architecture methods, frameworks, and principles.
- Identify technical risks, dependencies, and architectural deficiencies and develop appropriate options for action and decision-making proposals.
- Advise on the standardization, consolidation, and integration of applications, as well as the definition of interface and data-flow architectures.
- Provide architecture consulting for future digitalization initiatives and IT projects within the project environment.
- Develop and evaluate solution architectures for the use of AI in business applications and business processes.

- Analyze solution proposals with regard to architectural compliance, future viability, integration capability, and fulfillment of requirements.
- Design an AI Operating Model for development teams to support requirements management, architecture, software development, test management, documentation, and operations using AI.
- Develop solution approaches and best practices for the use of AI technologies throughout the Software Development Lifecycle.
- Evaluate and advise on AI-based development platforms, agent systems, and automation solutions.
- Develop architecture guidelines and best practices for the secure, cost-effective, and scalable use of AI in the development process.
- Advise on the introduction of an AI Operating Model for development teams, development pipelines, and automation approaches to improve quality, productivity, and delivery capabilities.
- Advise product owners, development teams, architects, and other stakeholders on architecture decisions and solution options.
- Support architecture reviews, functional concepts, decision-making proposals, and tender processes.
- Communicate, present, and coordinate architecture and solution approaches with business and management committees.
- Must-Have Requirements
- At least five references demonstrating the design and evaluation of AI-supported solutions throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), particularly in requirements management, software development, testing, documentation, or Dev Ops.
- Senior-level experience with more than five years of experience designing solution architectures for the use of AI in enterprise applications, using Large Language Models (LLMs), Generative AI, or agent systems.
- Senior-level experience with more than five years of demonstrable experience analyzing, evaluating, designing, and further developing complex application, data, integration, and solution architectures in large enterprises, as well as developing business and technical target architectures.
- At least five references demonstrating the development and evaluation of automation and pipeline solutions aimed at improving efficiency in the software development process.
- At least five references providing consulting to development teams regarding architecture guidelines, architecture reviews, technical standards, and architecture governance.
- Nice-to-Have Requirements
- At least five references demonstrating the creation and communication of architecture decisions, target architectures, and technical recommendations to management, business, and IT committees.
- Senior-level experience with more than five years of experience designing and moderating knowledge-sharing and technology enablement formats covering complex digital technologies and architectures, including data, AI, and other emerging technologies, for various target audiences, preferably within a German-speaking corporate group.
- Very good knowledge of agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe, as well as four demonstrable references working in cross-functional teams consisting of developers, product managers, and business representatives.
- Several years of intermediate-level experience, with more than three years of experience in IT projects within the railway operations sector.
