THE ROLE For a leading MedTech company specialising in regenerative medicine and biomaterials, we are seeking an experienced Legal Counsel. The successful candidate will join the in‑house legal function and take ownership of a broad commercial contracting mandate, with a clear emphasis on negotiating and structuring agreements across the company’s international distribution and clinical‑partnership network. The successful candidate will work predominantly within a Swiss law framework and must bring strong written English to support the cross‑border nature of the work.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements, with a particular focus on distribution agreements across multiple international markets.
Lead commercial contract negotiations as the primary legal point of contact for business stakeholders, balancing legal risk with commercial objectives.
Advise on and prepare agreements with physicians and clinical partners, including contracts relating to studies, research collaborations, and partnerships.
Handle general consultancy and advisory agreements, together with ad‑hoc day‑to‑day commercial legal matters, and advise on MedTech compliance considerations, including rules governing transfers of value and benefits to healthcare professionals across different jurisdictions.
Work collaboratively with internal commercial, regulatory, and business functions to deliver pragmatic, timely legal support.
YOUR PROFILE
Completed Swiss law degree (Master of Law / lic. iur.)
Strong written and spoken English at a level sufficient for international commercial contract work
Demonstrated experience in commercial contract drafting and negotiation, with the ability to work autonomously and manage a varied contract workload at pace from day one
Swiss bar admission preferred (Anwaltspatent)
Prior experience in the MedTech, medical device, or life sciences sector, including familiarity with relevant compliance frameworks
German language proficiency, given the working environment in Central Switzerland
