Working student (gn) for Research and Project Management

Want to use a student job to deep dive into philanthropy and social change work?

The International Alumni Center (iac Berlin) was founded by the Robert Bosch Stiftung in 2017 to support and curate networks for social impact.

To that end, iac Berlin partners with philanthropic organizations to evolve their practice towards systemic ways of resourcing.

While some pilot projects are implemented together with select organizations, this ambition is geared more broadly at philanthropic organizations in Europe which share a commitment to systems practice.

The recently established Inquiry & Insights department contributes to this field-level work through strategic convening, peer-to-peer learning formats, practice research as well as by supporting philanthropic infrastructure networks like Philanthropy Europe Exchange.

To further build this work, we are looking for a working student (gn) to support us in research and project management in the Inquiry & Insights department for at least nine months starting from October 2026. (See here the original job ad which contains two links that cannot be embedded here, but might be helpful: https://www. iac-berlin. org/what-we-do/job-offer-working-student-gn-for-research-and-project-management) Your tasks Assist with project and event-related workflows such as editing text and presentations, supporting event logistics and related tasks Research and pre-structure information through maps (such as this example), visuals and text Support the internal coordination with different teams related to systemic approaches in philanthropy Who we are looking for Qualities that will help you to contribute successfully You are a fast learner and approach tasks hands-on.

You have a structured way of working and an eye for details.

You find it rather easy to connect with new people.

You enjoy the dance between abstract thinking and practical application.

Minimum requirements for the role You have a strong interest in international cooperation, social innovation, and philanthropy.

You are very good at speaking and writing in English.

Fluent language skills in other European languages, particularly German, are a plus.

You have (volunteer) work experience in managing projects and organizing small events.

You are ready to work at least 16 hours per week, and you are available for at least nine months, during which you must be enrolled in an accredited university.
