The International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF), founded in 1908, is the worldwide governing body for ice hockey with 84 member associations. In addition to overseeing international rules, officiating, player transfers, and development programs, the IIHF organizes ice hockey at the Olympic Games and runs over 25 World Championship tournaments each year across men's, women's, and junior categories.

The IT Coordinator supports the IIHF's day-to-day IT operations and contributes to the continuous development of its technology environment. The role reports directly to the Technology Director and offers the opportunity to take ownership of operational topics, contribute to projects and gradually assume broader responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide professional and service-oriented 1st and 2nd level IT support across the IIHF, taking ownership of requests from initial intake through to resolution or escalation
• Manage standard workplace IT activities, including user access, onboarding and offboarding, device provisioning, software deployment and license administration
• Support and maintain the Microsoft 365 and modern workplace environment, including Entra ID, Intune, endpoint management and related technologies
• Set up, maintain and coordinate laptops, mobile devices, peripherals and meeting-room technology
• Maintain accurate IT documentation, inventories, procedures and user guides, and actively contribute to improving IT processes and service quality
• Prepare, test, coordinate and support technology equipment and services used at IIHF events, including selected on-site event assignments
• Coordinate operational topics with external IT and technology service providers and ensure effective follow-up
• Contribute to IT and technology projects, including testing, implementation and rollout of new systems and services, with the opportunity to gradually take ownership of defined technology areas

Skills and Qualifications

We are looking for a proactive and service-oriented team player who enjoys taking responsibility and working independently.

• Completed apprenticeship or equivalent education in Information Technology, ICT or a related field
• Practical experience in 1st and/or 2nd level IT support
• Good practical knowledge of Microsoft 365 and modern workplace environments; experience with Entra ID, Intune or endpoint management is an advantage
• Good understanding of end-user hardware, software and IT troubleshooting
• Structured, reliable and independent way of working with a strong sense of ownership
• Strong communication skills and a service-oriented mindset
• Willingness to learn, develop technically and take on broader responsibilities over time
• Fluent English; German is an advantage
• Willingness to travel internationally for selected IIHF events
