The International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) is a world-leading think tank which examines issues of global security, political risk and military conflict. The IISS has offices in London, Berlin, Singapore, Manama and Washington DC.
The IISS works with a wide range of private and public sector clients, sharing the Institute’s analysis and expertise. We are seeking a highly organised and proactive External Relations Coordinator to join the IISS and contribute across all aspects of the External Relations team.
Responsibilities
- Providing logistical support to corporates and sponsors in the lead up to major events.
- Support with delegate management of corporates and associated CRM tasks for events.
- Producing internal dossiers with key sponsor and event information ahead of major events.
- Organising private briefings for corporate partners and event sponsors.
- Coordinating with IISS research and operational colleagues.
- Gathering feedback from corporate partners and IISS colleagues after key engagements.
- Ensuring timely responses to enquiries, requests and providing proactive communication in the provision of services.
- Drafting of proposals and other paperwork.
- Keeping up to date records of renewals and briefings.
- Issuing invoices.
- Updating CRM.
- Supporting the External Relations team when required.
Requirements
The successful candidate will have:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree.
- Exceptional eye for detail.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Great organisation and planning skills.
- Proven interpersonal skills.
- Computer literacy with Microsoft.
- An interest in international relations.
