Technical Remote Participation Moderator Roster in Genève

Overview

As a Technical Remote Participation Moderator, you support ITU’s global meetings by managing virtual participation and ensuring smooth remote engagement. You work within ISD to set up e-meeting rooms, coordinate access, and supervise live sessions with remote participants. You will liaise with Chairs and panelists to integrate remote contributions and troubleshoot technical issues during events. This role offers the chance to contribute to international coordination and ICT collaboration from Geneva. You will be the trusted link ensuring inclusive, well-run virtual meetings that connect diverse stakeholders.

Verantwortungsbereiche

• Prepare and set up virtual meeting rooms and equipment for events
• Host, monitor, and facilitate remote participation in sessions
• Coordinate with organizers on access control and participant groups
• Gather and upload session materials and speaker bios to the e-meeting room
• Open, test, and manage audio/video, including recording and interpretation readiness
• Provide first-level troubleshooting and escalate technical issues as needed during events
• Debrief with the e-Meeting Coordinator and assist with post-event tasks
• Return hardware to the e-Meeting coordinator after events

Zentrale Anforderungen

• Complete secondary education with a diploma or equivalent technical/commercial studies; university degree would be an advantage
• At least two years of relevant experience; university degree may replace 2 years of experience
• Advanced English; knowledge of another official ITU language is an advantage
